Harthill Castle (Aberdeenshire) - Past & Present
.jpg)
Harthill Castle (Aberdeenshire)
Harthill is situated near Oyne, Aberdeenshire. It consists of a tall, gun looped, Z-pan tower house of C 1600 with the remains of a barmekin and gatehouse. Harthill was a roofless ruin until the late 70s when it was restored by William Cowie.
It now serves as an up-market location for corporate events which shows that these old buildings, when restored, can be made to earn their keep.
